so i've decided to get a short shifter, and i didnt want to mess around with an ebay one (even though i hear they are pretty good), i was looking through a couple sites looking for a good exhaust system etc, and came across the sale stratmosphere is having now. i just ordered a hypershift shifter from them for $149 (normally sells $199), so if youre in the market for a ss, or just wanna check out some of the sales, check out stramosphere.com

i should get the shifter by monday or tuesday, so ill letcha all know how it works out

 

it arrived today... cant wait to install it... too bad i'm missing a few tools

My ss is in the mail also, any specialty tools you need for a ss install?

 

Yea you need a c-clip or ring clip compressor. Looks like needle nose plier's with pins on the tips.

 

boya great buy. i loved mine. it took some adjusting becuase after about a week i needed to move it around so i could get into R. after that i never touched it agian

 

FYI the best short shifter ever made for our B5's has just recently come out.. it's out for the S4's and the owner Jason(jaybquick on AZ) tells me that the A4 one will be done in a couple of weeks.. i can't wait to pick up mine..

yea i was gonna get that, but i didnt wanna wait much longer as i would spend the saved money on something else (booze), and i couldnt justify $300 for a ss when i could get a stratmosphere one for $155 shipped

 

ps not that i'm knockin jaybquicks work or price, but if it came out a little earlier i would have definitely got one, since the demos on the site look pretty sick
