they look brown??? could this be due to running octane booster?? i run it when i cant find premium. im going to replace them soon but thought i would have a look. they say vw ngk on them what would be a good replacment?? also the plug gaps seem quite large for a turbo car
also does anyone have the part no. for a k&n air filter for my car (b5 1.8t at)

Light brown/grey ash is normal.

Gap I believe is 0.032 for ATW and AWM. ECS sells NGK platinum replacements.

I would personally not get a K&N filter they have been known to clog up the MAF there is to much oil on them so just be careful

 

My K&N is fine I have a cone filter with an adapter.... It seems like air flows better.

 

how long have u had this Im think he is also talking about the drop in one not the cone my experience is with the drop in ones
