I also just drove past the scene, and saw that I knocked over not 1, not 2, but 3 lamp posts....I'll bet those are gonna be expensive.

So yeah...I walked away from THAT without a scratch on me. BIG PROPS to German engineering.

Thats a good question...I suppose it would depend what it would cost me to buy it. But I don't really have anywhere that I can store the carcass, and there isn't THAT much that is salvagable. The engine looks fine, so I could pull off the intake and the MAF....maybe the rear swaybar, but thats likely torn apart. Pretty much the whole interior is shot...not sure what else would have any value.

PLUS, then I'd have to pay to get the car towed back and forth to wherever I'd work on. And I don't really have access to any semi-permanent work space. Plus, I'm not really that handy to begin with

So yeah...I guess that's probably a "no" in terms of parting it out.
