How often do you change your K&N Air Filter?
30,000 miles?

 

no. they are good for the life of your car. but you must recharge them with oil. I'd do it every 30K or so not sure on that though.

Had a K&N for 1 day - it screwed up my MAF, so I took it out, and I'm back to the stock air filter.

I'd stay away from K&N if I were you.

 

i had my filter for over a year now, never had any problems.I clean it and reapplying oil every other oil change, every 10,000 or every 5-6 month.

j/k it’s 2000 1.8t, but it does scare some teenagers.

Okay, after reading this post, I'm not sure whether I should get the K&N filter or not. I've read where it screws up your MAF (filter charger oil), and others where it works fine? So, the question is, is it worth it or not?

I've had a K&N for several 1,000 miles. I had to replace my MAF just before I put the K&N in, so my MAF replacement was unrelated. I've had no problems since. I don't think they're worth it unless you get a good deal like I did. Mine was cheaper than a stock filter because I bought it off eBay. Came new in the box.

Also, to recharge you use the K&N cleaning kit or whatever. Get it at an auto parts store.
