K&N Oil Filters for A4
Have you ever tried to buy an oil filter for you 96-99 1.8TA4 but couldnt be they dont have one listed?
I tried to pick one up today and was confused when I couldnt find one so I looked at the filter for the 2000 modelsPN# HP2005 figering there might be somthing diferent about it and on the side of the box it says cross reference with FRAM PH2870A or DG2870A. so then I looked up the fram number for 97 A4 and its PH2870A
Long story short K&N oil filter part number for said1.8T model years is HP-2005

I run a K&N oil filter on my 2000, but I've never noticed that 96-99 aren't listed. I can't remember what catalog number mine is but HP2005 sounds familiar. I know when I got my air filter Autozone had a hell of a time getting me one. First they couldn't find a part number, then they sent one for a 2.8 instead of a 1.8t. PITA if you ask me.
