The main thing is that it has to get her to school Mon-Fri with no issues and very little down time. With that said some of you know I have had several 12sec DSM's over the years with all the work done by me, so tuning/wrenching is not a big deal. However I am into the Diesel world now and would rather not have to mess with her car to much

BT doesnt mean itll be unreliable or youll be fixing stuff all the time. You just need to do it right the first time and dont half *** stuff like reusing bolts/gaskets and make sure the turbo is primed for the first start and all that other **** you already know. Boost leaks might be more likely, but thats no biggy.

Ya that's what I think about any big turbo, the little tings are what will kill you. My last GS-T had 350hp with 150K and is still rinning fine for my buddy I sold it to and it's his DD.

Nice new pig Cincy.
Wasn't someone saying not long ago about the GTRS crapping out within 10K miles?

That could be due to a few different things. Like if they reused the oil feed/return line it probably had sludge in it and starved the turbo. Im sure that is the case for a handful of failed turbos, mainly the big one's.

you can kill any turbo easy, just takes a minor oversite before start up and with one turn of the key....... Death!! But from the begining the elims have seen plenty of early failures, more so on the transverse turbos.

just go custom and shave a few $'s off the bill..... why upgrade the turbo if you are going to hold back the performance?
