To K04 or not to K04...
Well everyone... I'm stuck and don't know what to do. I have just about everything I need to do the K04 swap into my B5, everything except the actual turbo. Now I have a 00 1.8T FWD Tip and I just can't decide if I should continue on with this project or just be happy with the car as it is and sell the parts I have and enjoy the money. I'm a college student and I'm not doing to bad with my money... but with an Audi, some unexpected expenses are kind of expected to come up.
I already have the GIAC K04 J31 file chipped ecu, fpr, injectors, boost gauge, 3" test pipe, and fmic. Planned on getting a custom exhaust and making my own cold air intake/inlet system.
I love fast cars and I love good looking cars but I just don't knowif I should try to have both right now... what do you all think?

Well here's the thing with selling it... I got the car for $4500 some how, and the car is awesome condition! Finding another one that is this clean in and out will be next to impossible.
I don't have any plans of racing the car, just want it to be faster...

Id stick with a k03 chip if I were you, being ATW engine code/tip. The k04/j31 file is a tq monster and the tip probably wouldnt respond well to it.. Not to mention- how much fun is all that power with an automatic anyways? If youre stock, youll be more than happy with just a chip, at least for a while. A chipped k03 isnt really that FAST compared to a lot of other cars, but FAST compared to the stock 150hp. My main point is, you will no longer be left in the dust by stock civics.
Ya thats probably a good idea. I just havent read enough long term personal experiences with it to recomend it. You dont want to **** a tip tranny, they cost more than an engine to replaceif you arent lucky enough to find a used one with decent miles.
I know a lot of people complain its a little too stiff shifting unless you are really getting on it.
