Does anyone have a source i can pickup a K04-015 quickly from? Everyone seems to be out of stock and the only one up on eBay is is starting at 900-something, still has 9 days on the auction, "will ship within 10 days of payment", and ups ground being the only shipping option it could be a month before I see the thing and I need to get my car back on the road.

Yup they are on international back order from Borg Warner. Im in the same boat as you. Try calling Eric at supremepowerparts, he said he had one left for $800 or so. Also check out www.gpopshop.com They sell K03's rebuilt to K04 spec with a pretty good warranty for cheap. I'm going to wait until they arent on back order and then the price will come back down to the $750 or so as advertised by many places before.

 

Cool, thanks! Supreme Power doesn't open for another hour (9 pst), so I'm going to have to wait till 12 before i call them. I just want to make sure they still have it otherwise i would just order it online.

Nope, Eric is all out and he even checked a few other places he know of for me still to no avail.

Has anyone used one of these G-pop rebuilt K03s that they clam is comparable to a K04? For $575, is seems to good to be true, and we all know how that normally ends up.

Anyone else have ideas?

I don't want to have to spend $1000 for this one on ebay...... no, I'm NOT going to spend $1000 for that one on ebay, thats just silly.

 

I had a thread a while back about the gpopshop k03/04 and no one that replied knew much about it. It should be good because they offer a decent warranty on it from their email replies to me they sound like they know exactly what they are doing. Email them if you want and ask about the product just to hear what they say... I still may end up going with them. If you send them your k03/core they will give you a slight discount. Probably not a $100 discount though like you could sell it for if it still works and is in pretty good shape.

 

WOOT! Just snatched a brand new K04-015 for $825- shipped.
Wasn't up on eBay for more then 10 minutes, what luck.

so now i'm out the loot until the refund it processed (already been submitted just waiting on it). guess i might just go with a Gpopshop upgraded K03 and hope i'm happy with it. gonna call him as soon as they open, lazy west coast peoples whole 3 hours behind us!

I have a K04 that I am going to sell as of today. The turbo (and ECU) were installed for 4 months and feel like new. (car was in a rollover accident) I was planning on putting it on ebay without a reserve.
