Default k04 times

what's up everybody? i recently got an a4 1.8t QMS, i got the apr chip installed, but i need more power (there's never enough). i'm not trying to race at the track or pull fast times, i just want to be able to beat a stock wrx. i'm stationed at Hill AFB and a lot of people on base have wrx's and i know i dont have a chance right now. do you think a k04 set up would do the trick? any suggestions are welcome.

audiboy1618 was running the k04 setup and was shaming some WRX's. If you dont want to do more than that the k04 will be a good deal for ya.

What do they make? 235-245WHP? and around 265 WTQ?? not sure exactly on the numbers but i think so...

WRX's stock make 227 CHP.... so like what under 200 WHP?

the 235hp and 265 tq are not WHP they are crank #'s you get into mid to low 14's with a K04 exhaust and a few other bolt on goodies

what... intake? test pipe/hfc ... injectors... fmic .... fpr...pc-16 with MBC uping the boost...

ab1618 didnt even run a FMIC (maybe thats why he got a hole in his turbo )

Anyway... Anything is possible just it takes money.. give an EXACT HP number you want to reach.. and someone will tell you what to get

Oh yea.. BTW do you have a DBW or NDBW setup.. if you have a 00+ (DBW) tuning is gonna be a little harder...

235whp is going to be pretty hard out of a k04 setup thats around 300CHP at 25% drivetrain loss

looks like someone is running 13.3's on GT2x kit.. thats nice.. must be a godd driver since his reaction time on that run looked like .001

im not going to disagree on the k04 to 235 is hard.. im just saying it can be done.

i wonder what the GT2x would run on a b5 thats 400 lbs lighter? (400 lbs is right.. right?)

my setup im saving for is the GT28RS.

What times do the GT28RS with injects/fmic and 2.5" exhuast run?? im a 99 A4 1.8TQM

I already have an APR 2.5" catback exhuast with test pipe..

I understand i will need a new clutch and motor mounts

Yeah, wrxs were the least of my worries with the ko4, i only lost to 1 out of all that i raced, it was well modded. Ko4 can keep up with most stock turbo ones, but if they upgrade look out. Pretty sure i have the fastest ko4 time on non pc-16/j31. I think the car had 13.9 in without pc16 if i played with it longer.Hitting the drags next week to see what i can put down with the apr stage III.
