Haha, well mostly there are kits. its a lot of jsut getting a k04 and the programming. you can get bigger injectors and a 5 bar fuel pressure regulator if you want mroe agressive programming. its a pretty straightforward bolt on setup.

As far as i know they are still on back order, I got mine slightly used from a member here for a very sweet deal.

As Beer-Mod pointed out, ECS sells the parts you need to install it, just scroll down and you'll see the "ECS KO4/KO3 Install Kit ES#3366 All hardware & gaskets that you would need to install a KO4". I bought this kit from them ($50 shipped), the turbo for $450 and about $100 on antifreeze and mobile1 for two oil changes, another $199 to APR for an upgrade, and i got away with the whole thing for just about $800. I sure as hell ain't complaining.

I am a computer tech, not much of a mechanic but I'm not dumb when it come to cars or street bikes ether. The whole install took about 6 hours with no special tools.
The DIY is on audiworld, I posted both of them in my thread about installing a K04 the week before last.

Thanks for the replies...

What i'm most concerned with is the injector change? If i swap out the turbo and replace all the gaskets etc will the 710N diverter valve be man enough to run the K04?

After k04 install is a custom remap the only way forward, or can the upgrade software for say the 180bhp 1.8t or even the TT 225bhp be used?

I'm guessing stock car with K04 and remap you're looking at about 220bhp? will this level require injector change?

Thanks,

Sp33d07 - If you already have APR programming, it's $199 for the upgrade/reflash.

sean1.8t - Yes but they are still on national backorder, they don't have them (atleast when i called) in stock, the guy at kinetic even called around to abunch of other places for me and wasn't able to come up with one.

PaulA4 - I am not really sure on the injectors since i had them done awhile back when i got my first APR flash.
And isn't the 710N a solid metal after market DV? that should be plenty to handle the K04, or maybe I'm thinking about the 007..........
There shouldn't be any reason you would need a "custom" programming, both GIAC or APR should have what you need.
As far as numbers go, beats the hell out of me. I do know that you can't just add up all the supposed HP that all your new parts are calmed to be adding and get the total HP your car is pushing, there are some formulas you need to apply in there. But honestly as far as I'm concerned my car is FAST and fun as hell to drive and that is what really matters!!!
