Default Keep the current or start with a new...?

Im having a hard time deciding if I want to keep my current 98 2.8 quattro 150k miles or get a 99 1.8T with 120k miles price 6k flawless condition inside and out seems like a good deal....though even if it is we all know that as soon as you drive it home can start to have problems. With all the things that can and do go wrong I guess Ive been exceptionally lucky that my car runs amazing, very smooth for this many miles. Thats why im hesitant toget another car even if it does have less milesMy car needs some body work, new paint, has variousdents, needsnew rims tires rotors brake pads head lights tail lights...driver side mirror. Ive got 6k and wondering if I should dump it into this car or get another, I want a 1.8t to modbut not to thrilled that they seem to have more issues then the 2.8not to mention everythings expensive to fix. Even still if I get99 2.8 they to can have there fair share of issues no matter how many miles. Some onesgotta make the call on this....help me out.

if your car is running good then you prob don't need another one...just keep your money and bank it...save up and buy something fancy later on...

put your 6k into a VR6 swap with 034motorsport you can google them and call them. They can hook you up with parts and know how to make your 2.8 beast. then you get a new motor not a 120 miles motor and have moded your current car. just my 2 cents.

If you're that desperate to mod a 1.8T then go for it.

But if you only need a car to get from point A to point B, save up more money until you have enough incase some unexpected services are required on the future 1.8T. That's my opinion.

anything that old and with that many miles is gonna run into problems no matter what so who cares, get it. If your gonna mod it, do preventitive maintance while you mod it, unlike me, who now has to do, the clutch/flywheel, timing belt, control arms and one drive axle's cv joint is shot so im just gonna do both axles while im doin the clutch, ough and the valve cover gasket and oil pan gasket, and maybe a bad coilpack
