my doors use a different key then my ignition and both keys are flip keys and its sucks having 2 keys like that with me all the time. so is there any way to convert a flip key into a standard key without remote?

if you dont care about one just break off all the outer shell and build a handle on the "key" piece! i would recommend going to dealer and just getting a valet key....somewhat cheap and alot easier!!!

 

Couldn't you program the remote door lock portion on the ignition key to lock/unlock the doors? That way only one key would be need for the doors and ignition. Then just keep the door key at home if it is ever needed.

 

I have one of them programmed, but it doesn't do me any good when the battery is dead. Once my battery died when i was at work cuz i left my lights on and i left the key at home. My ignition key also opens the trunk but with a dead battery it wont open the entire car. So that's y i want to have both of the keys with me at all time.

Problem is already solved, I just took the fob apart and took the key out of it and put it on a key ring
