I bought my car from a private party and the swich blade key would not work (remote open and close) so i changed the batterys and had the same out come, it wouldnt work. I ended up lookin in the owners manual for the procedure to resynchronise. I fallowed all the steps but it still dosent work.Does anyone know how to resynchronise it????

 

What year is it? 97-2001 go like this:

Take the key you DO NOT want to program and put it in the ignition. Turn it one click forward.
Close and lock the drivers door with the second key.
On the second key (the one in the drivers door) press the 'UNLOCK' button ONCE only. The lights will flash on the car, but the doors will remain locked
With the second key still in the drivers door, unlock then lock the door again.
Pull the key from the slot and test remote functions.
Open drivers door, remove key from ignition.

 

The problem is , is that i dont have another remote key. I was given one switchblade key and 2 regular keys. Is there any other way to program it or do i need to get another switchblade key?

 

Well, you might have trouble programming a key without the remote anway, so you're probably safe just following the above instructions...

 

You don't need two switchblade keys. Just put the regular key in the ignition and program your switchblade in the door.

 

this sucks!! i fallowed your steps exacly but it still wont work. i might just need to get another remote key. any clue on how much they are and how much they would be to laser cut?

a couple of problems uploading there so the last one is posted twice

 

They aren't laser cut (at least at my dealer), just ground out. My dealer charges me 10 bucks while other places may charge you more. Best to call around. Have you changed the batteries?
