My wife's little clicker for her 97 A4 has bit the dust. I've been looking on eBay for another one but haven't found one that looks like the one she has. My question is does it really matter which one you get. Can I just buy one and have it programed to work for her car. Thanks for any answers.

call a local dealer.. they should know best..

from my knowledge you cant program the "newer styler" to work with the older cars, but that was just a quick question-answer type of thing..

i was trying to see if a b6 keyless entry would work on my 1996 2.8l, so maybe it would work with a 96-01 keyless entry, but i know they got changed in 98-99 to a different style so i dont know if those would work..

so in conclusion, just call your dealership
