Kid who bought my car is pissing me off.
damn Aaron, get tough on this kid, and hope that his dad isn't like 6'10" and 300 lbs. Bring a cop with you if you are going to pick up the car. I would have kept the 18"s until you got the last $500. He doesn't have those too, does he? If not, sell the 18s seperately to someone else and give him the title and a new contract with the sale price minus $500 and no 18s included, just the stock wheels. unless you can getsell the stock wheels for more than the 18s.was the original deal the car with both sets of wheels?
I think the wheels and tires on them are worth more than $500, so that's not really an option either. They were included in the original sale, so we'll see what is going to happen. The kid said he' not tight with(and definitely doesnt live with)any of his family, because in the beginning I told him to make a payment plan wiht someone else and get me all the money up front.
This kid is a j*g*off u got nothing to worry about man u shouldn't had the contract notorized but no worries if it went to court you will win by a long shot I commend u for being a nice guy more ppl should be like that so he owes u 500 and he's tryin 2 make u pay him 300 lol wat an idiot tell him giv u 250 and get lost keep ur rims tho
Well you really have nothing to worry about. Everything is in writing (receipts for each payment too?) and the car is still in your name. I'd be a real dick about the whole matter. Report the car stolen, get it back, and not give him a dime. You really shouldn't have given him the car to begin with though. When I was selling my car I got a bunch of offers wanting payment plans. I know how people are so my reaction was fvck no.
take it to judge judy!! totally kidding, but yea even if they weren't official documents the fact that you have this in writing and signed is going to be what saves you. no matter how much tough guy juice this kid has been guzzling TRUST me, when you show up with a cop at his front door he's going to suckup like a first day intern
That is a crappy situation youhave there. First off did you have the contracts notarized? Most wont hold up in court unless the contract has a credible witness signature.
If I read correctly you had the car certified before selling it correct? Which means the problems with the car had been caused by the new "owner" and can be approached in a manor of sabotage. (not the exact word I wanted to use but you get the point)
If you have a key still just take it! He cant do nothing about it since its still technically "your" car. That's what I'm doing for my ma's neighbor since they live in FL. now and the ***** has not paid up.

there are other ways to look at this deal ( why did you sell it/did you know there was a problem/ is this guy suffering your deception ) the courts look at every thing you know
I would tell him he only owes you 200 dollars. I would just cut your losses at that because if it does go to small claims court it will cost you about 300 dollars anyway. This way your car is sold, you dont have to worry about fixig any thing and in his eyes you gave the 300 dollars he asked for. It sucks to end it this way but at least it ends a big headache, not to mention releases you from any liability if he were to get in accident driving YOUR car. Sorry to hear about this.but so goes the old saying " the nice guy finishes last"
