Im going to get the ko4 in the spring and would like to hear some of the kits you guys have and how you like them.

 

Best upgrade i ever made. I like it better than the T3. It didnt require any painwork just plug and play. cant beat that for $750

 

I didn't buy a kit. I bought my turbo and the hardware and gaskets separately. Do you already have a chip?

 

Yeah, Im chipped by apr. So is it cheaper to buy the turbo and software seperate, or the kit. Also what kind hp and times do you guys think your running. Doose didnt you tell me a while back that you spank wrx's? So you must be running 5s 0 to 60, right?

 

Did you have to send off for the APR or did a locale installer burn it for you?

Cuz APR has a KO4 program

 

i think i saw that if you want the k04 program, it was $699, and if u had a chip already it was $199. i could be wrong, it might have been the GIAC.

 

AWE/GIAC give you a $200 discount if you buy a turbo kit and already have one of their chips. I don't know if APR offer a similar deal.

 

David_k, I had a local tuner burn it for me. Where do you guys think is the best site to buy the turbo. Ive seen for like 750 or 800$ i just cant remember where.

 

To be honest eBay. seriously ebay.

On the APR chip. if you had it burned on you know that before any software was placed on the chip it was blank. Since the APR was soldered on i think you might have to purchase a whole new ECU becuase you cant uninstall it very easily. (removeing solder with a solder vacuum is very very hard) BUt your APR dealer should be able to burn APR K04 program to the chip.

 

I check with apr, they dont offer software for the ko4 upgrade. Im not sure who im going to get it chipped by now.
