im a new audi owner dont really know to much but i feel that it lags in low rpms. like when i take of its slow intill it hits like 3,500 rpm. then it takes of is that normal??

He soved it himself if it's a 1.8T.

 

Probably turbo lag if its a 1.8t.. I assume that you are just roughly speaking because the turbo lag on a k03 is extremely minimal. It shouldnt lag past 2k rpm or so.... At least mine doesnt. If your AC is on, that will give you more noticeable lag in the 2500-3k rpm range.

why would you even ask that? ofcorse he has a 1.8T.. its called Turbo lag

 

the 2.8 12v does it too surprisingly. It's just how the engine is built i guess. at least mine does

 

yeah its a 99 1.8t so it might be normal. well i dont know to much so im trying to find out thanks

 

mine does that too its just if ur in the wrong gear like u get into 2nd to early ur turbo needs time to spool up u kno... its turbo lag.......

 

so is it normal to do that or is there something wrong. is turbo lag normal....
