the flange in-between the turbo and cat is different. it won't bolt up to the stock cat. and i wouldn't buy a turbo off ebay

Yeah it looks like its the K04-018... Fawkkkkkkkkk!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought a turbo from Kinetic Motorsports for like 1000$ ten months ago and its on its way out already... i can go through two of these ebay turbos for the price of one from a shop.

I agree w chaos, buy it where they service them. might cost a bit more but they'll be there to take care of you. it's a critical component, thatworks bestwhen all is correct not just "close enough"

Take care of me? I bought a K04 in march 2007 in Vancouver, BC at Kinetic Motorsports and now that my K04 is whinning and under a 1 year warranty they said I can send it in (pay shipping) and they can look at it but they guarantee it wont be on warranty since its prop damage.. How the hell does prop damage just happen on its own.. So now thats why im saying fawk that to buying from shops cause its a turbo warranty is sketchy...

Too bad this thing isnt a 015 cause id be all over it.

i would contact kinetic and ask them to replace it, no way it should have gone out that soon. unless you weren't caring for it properly...did you put new oil lines in, use synthetic oil and change it regularly, and allow proper warm up and cool down time?

the plate on it just says "K04 Turbocharger"... that should be enough proof not to buy it right there.

I called them.. they said send it in and well check it out but they said it wont be on warranty if its prop damage... and it is prop damage...

I put new oil lines in, use sytec, change oil at 3000miles, proper warm up and cool downs... 80% hwy driving barely using the turbo.

So if i send it in and they say its not on warranty I paid shipping to and from them (cause there is no way ill leave the turbo with them for them to claim the warranty and just keep it). Pisses me off they arent local.
