Yeahh, I remember how I glazed the clutch when I was learning to drive manual this summer. I find that about 3000 is the magic number for an agressive launch if you have Quattro.

hey i have two question, i am alittle confused, what do u mean by glazing up the clutch, like melting it or what? and whats the highest you should rev it to when starting in first? i usally just let the clutch out untill i feel the motor pull the give it some gas i never really go past 2k unless i am launching it. oh yeah whats a safe shift point? like 3k or 4 k?

chipping wont void warrenty, only if the dealer can prove it was the chip that did the damage.

Are you 100% positive, because that is the only reason why I am not chipped at the moment....the warranty.

For chipping to void any part of the warranty, the dealer has to find out about it.
Chipping would only void part of the warranty related to chipping. for instance, the dealer couldn't refuse to fix broken door lock mechanism, or steering rack because of a chip.

How about buying a used ECU and chipping it? Remove it before taking the car to dealer.

Thank you for the suggestion. I have considered that, but I am on a limited budget and it is a little too expensive for me.
