I noticed the other day under hard acceleration my APR chipped 1.8T seems to have a 'leaking' sound .
Its loud enough that I can hear it over the turbo spooling . I car seems to be boosting fine .
I dont know what it could be ..
any opinions ?
BTW , I installed my new 710N about 2 weeks ago .

could it be that you're just hearing the turbo spool louder from the added boost after being chipped?

 

Hell no , Ive been chipped for a year now ..
Its a 'psssssss' sound . I noticed today I am losing boost too. Car is Slooow.
Almost like stock at times.

 

you said you just installed a 710N 2 weeks ago, i would start there, maybe one of the fittings came loose

 

Yeppers, pop the hood, listen for a hissing noise... if you dont hear anything, rev it up a bit... and listen again. I doubt that'd be requird. I think you have a vacuum hose thats either off, or broken.

A ssssssssssh signifies a vac hosed that's split. Or the DV has spat the dummy. How much boost you running? Is your car only chipped or turbo upgrade too?

 

Sounds like a boost leak. Id probably do a pressure check.
