Default The life and times of a beloved audi

Purchased Jan 2005 $11,000 from a woman who was the first owner with 68k on the clock. All service records.

Drove around rockin the stock look for about 10 months and then she got an early birthday present...
New wheels and Springs/shocks. and a fresh wash and wax.

This was my vision from day one. clean wheels black/black tinted all around

She looked good in that light...

We had a good run....I drove that thing worry free up, down and around california for over 2 years and all of a sudden....
I got PUNKED by and little mitsu whatever it was called..

he was driving 75 i was slowing for traffic going 40 on I80

$8700 in damages
Should get a check for $9300 in a week or so. This was 8 days ago...Sad day.
she died with 127000 on the clock with original clutch still grabbin like it did when i got it. Besides the timing belt all i had to do was brakes oil changes and tune ups...if it werent for audis poor customer service during an unfortunate incident i would be searching for another one.\
Thanks for all the knowledge you all have bestowed.

Brings a tear to my eye. Sorry you got @ss-ended like that.

What is going to become of the car? Hate to ask in your time of mourning, but i sure do like those rims. If they're 18s, would you be willing to sell.......say, to me?

Find another, for 9300, youcan get a decent one, and still have some mod money.

good luck to you, sorry to see your car end up this way.

I had a timing belt failure the day before my appt to have it changed at the stealer at 114000 miles and it said to change at 120,000 in my owners manual. Long story short AOA and I went back and forth, i was trying to have them cover the damages because it broke early. Audi does not stand behind their product.

Sorry to hear it. If you were a member here before you hit 100k miles, you should have known to have the T belt replaced way before what the owners manual says, and you would have also known that AOA isa joke. Thats no reason to not get another one though imo.

How much does it run you to replace the timing belt? I had that suggested to me by a mechanic but passed for now... seems like that might come up soon though since I have 96k miles right now.
