They are 55 watts stock. I've been running 100 watt Hella's in both the low beam and fog lights. I think I changed them over in May of this year. $35.00 for a pair if I'm not mistaken.

No. Get Silverstars. No doubt about it. Do it, thank me later.
Havn't had ANY trouble with em (have had them a year) Makes my Escape look like a Lexus comin up the road at night, and they are bright as hell.

If I still have the stock lights on my '97 a4 but i change the bulbs to the Silverstar, will it make a noticable difference? Or do I need to get entirely new headlights to get the sweet effect im lookin for?

Tomorrow Im gonna get some PIAA bulbs.

Im looking at H4 Super Plasma (GT-X)
H3 Super Plasma, 9005 Xtreme Plus, 9004 Xtreme Plus.

What bulb specifications should I know or does it matter.
