I threw a CEL in my b5 and the code is P0410 (sencondary air injection malfunction) and I was wondering will this throw the ecm into limp mode and lower the boost. The car seems like is boosting normal in low gears but in 4th and 5th it seems a little week. The car is completely stock, I don't even have a boost gage in it so it is hard to tell but I been around turbo cars enough to know what the car should feel like at stock boost in high gears. Is there any way to reset that without having to fix the problem immediately and no I don't have a vag com either.

You can try disconnecting the battery for 20 min but it might mess up the battery. You should fix the problem cause when you reset the ecm, it will come back on right away and go back into limp mode. Limp mode happens when your ecm notices something wrong and it does it to save the turbo and engine. my boost drops to 2 or 3 psi when its in limp. it barely works at all! My recomendation,,,,, get it fixed first or more problems can arise! hope this helps

where is the air valve and air solenoid and how do I go about testing them? someone told me it was the air pump for emissions is that possible?
