Default Lip Spoiler

Hi all,

I am a new member to this forum and am looking for input. I have a 2003 3.0 and want to put a spolier on it. I really like the factory lip spoiler that come on the Ultra Sports. I found one on Ebay that is mounted via double sided tape. How durable is this, and are there issues with this mounting technique?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Pete

The double sided tape will do the trick, and im assuming that it will come unpainted so make sure to factor that into the cost. I guess you could paint it yourself but it would be recommended to take it to a body shop for a full job.

The eBay ones often come painted actually... you just get them the colour code from your trunk, and they paint it for you.

I got one for my dad last christmas... it came painted, matched perfectly. The 2 sided tape is sort of letting go on the one side though... very minimal, and it was likely our fault, applying it in the cold of winter (although we had the car cleaned off and everything).
It hasn't gotten any worse though, over the past year... just bothers me sometimes when I see it. It certainly wont come off though.

Headshok,

Is the spoiler lifting? Also, does it move? I have been known to take my car to a touch less car wash. Concerns about it getting pulled off.

Also, any tips on istall?

Thanks again.

Mine is still holding great after a year, although I got it from spoilerdepot.com. I've never gone through a drive through carwash though...

naw the lip is holding fast... no worries of it coming off.

The B6 is in crazy need of a lip... the b5... not so much.

I've got spoilerdepot's lip spoiler, its been 2 years since the install and its holding pretty good. The double sided adhesive works well.
