Default Little Accident Today...

Well, I pulled up too close to a curb today, and didn't notice... When I went back out to the car today, I saw that I was a little close to the curb, but it still looked alright. When I went to back up, I went about 1ft., and heard a loud "crack". I looked up to see the chrome center piece on the center, my fog light plastic pieces, and another black plastic trim piece go flying in the air...

WTF!

Turn's out that the curb caught the bottom of the front plastic bumper piece, and ripped it off with the movement of the car... There are parts of the piece that have to be screwed into the bumper, and the whole front end is going to have to come off.

Good news is, that while I'm waiting for the new piece to arrive, I put all of the plastice trim pieces back in, and everything looks good, unless you are really looking for something wrong.

My deductable is $250 for full coverage, and the shop quoted me at $210 for the new part, shipping, and taking the bumper off, and putting everything back together.

Lesson learned, don't park to close to curbs... [:@]

The whole bottom plastic piece is bent in a "v" shape, where it caught the curb...

Almost all of the clips broke, and there are a couple of places where it dosn't clip in, there is a hole, and a screw. Those places just ripped out... The whole piece needs to be replaced. I have some zip ties holding it on there at the moment...
