my car was turned off...and i decided to turn the stearing wheel alittle to much, and i locked up everything. i cant turn the key or the stearing wheel now, anyone no how to start it up again?

 

put key in and turn the steering wheel at the same time you turn the key it should release it

 

Yea, with the key in the ignition, just rock the steering wheel back and forth, from left to right, and it will "wiggle" loose...

 

yea if that dosent work u fugged sumthin up.

 

Same thing happened to me over the weekend, but my wheels were turned all the way - therefore, i couldn't turn the steering wheel what so ever to unlock it. I ended up pulling on the tire, trying to turn it more than the steering wheel would allow, and had my wife turn the key at the same time. Worked like a charm.

 

wow, that cant be good. the other day i watched this guy fight with his for a few mins, he said it was a new car and he wasent doin somthing right, i said no, ur right tire is bashed all the way against the curb, thats why u cant turn the wheel.

thanks i guys i got it to unlock no problem, just had to no what to to thanks again

 

my friends rover did this and we just battled with it for an hour and it finally came loose. just turn it in the direction it allows and jiggle with the key. my advice to you, just dont give up.
