So i made a post the other day about sending my ecu to 2Bennett to get flashed. I sent it out yesterday, and it arrived to them this morning. The guy there called me to go over the details of my order, which ended up being pretty funny. Ive been looking at getting chipped since my first a4, but havent ever really had the cash to do so. I guess i was pretty naive
in thinking that it wouldnt be much more than the $500 you always see it priced for on the internet. LOLZ AT THAT! After all is said and done, im getting APR stage 1, with two programs, and a bailey dv. Including shipping and the 45 min of labor, it ends up being right at $1000! I wasnt expecting that at all. Dont get me wrong, i am super stoked about it; but i wasnt expecting it to be so much. I hope its worth it in the end.

 

you got raped if you spent $1000 for a chip and DV. Back when I had my K03 chip it came out to $420 with labor for them to soder it in at AWE

really, i dunno, it seems to add up. 499$ for first program, 149$ for second program, 170$ for dv, 70$ labor, 36$ shipping each way = 960$ before tax. Raped? I dunno about raped, but **** sure does add up quick.

 

Seems like alot some APR delaers run specials all the time. I know I paid less then that for my chip on my S4 with 3 programs

 

Ouch. What did you have to pay labor for if you shipped the ecu and how is shipping $36 each way, shipping for my exhaust was like $40 or something. I can't believe another program is $150 thats just a waste of money.

 

Its when there is a major vw/audi car show. They mainly do by one or 2 programs and get another free. Thats the best time to buy.

i got apr 1+ on a b6 for $499, OEM tt225 injectors for $300 (installed them myself = free) and i did overpay on that POS APR R1 DV though ($150)

 

The only reason i got the second stock program, was because my car has high miles and im paranoid of engine sludge. the guy told me that if you have it chipped it even voids the engine sludge warranty. So i want to be able to go back to stock only in extreme emergency, like taking it to a dealer for engine sludge. 149$ is spendy, but id be pissed if i got engine sludge and they wouldnt replace it cause it was chipped. As far as 170$ for the dv, thats about what i see bailey dvs for online so......... and finally, the shipping, overnight ups from eureka california to davis= 36$. Im anxious so didnt really care about the extra on shipping, i live in the woods kinda so mail sux, if you do ground you wont see it for a ******* week! Plus, theyll upgrade my program to stage 1+ for free, so if i want i just have to buy new injectors. So really, it just seems like i shouldnt have gotten the stock program, other than that, it seems like we payed about the same for everything else. If you subtract 150$ for the extra program you didnt get, and 72$ for shipping that leaves about 225$ towards new injectors. So it doesnt really seem like i got raped that bad, considering.
