I am looking to buy a used A4 in about 6>8 weeks. I am a porsche 928 owner and have loved my time spent on the rennlist boards. Looks like this forum is Quality as well.

My question to the A4 Guru's is

What is the best Year A4 to buy>? I really have little preference in body styles and am looking to spend under 20k.

I figure 3rd year of any style car is when the engineers get everything sorted out? so was guessing 1999 or 2003 are the golden years?
