Ive been looking at cars for a few months now and have narrowed it down to the A4 or a VW GTI. This will be my first car and I was wondering what your guys opinions were on either of these cars (performance, modifications, etc.). Also, is it worth the extra money to get B6 instead of a B5?

The GTI is wrong wheel drive, Audi is quattro, enough said...More room, more modern styling, better fuel economy, less expensive maintenance costs (potentially). Do you need more reasons why you should get the B6. The B5 is a classic but its always better to get the newer car. Unless you're gonna track the car in which case you'll want the less porky, slightly better handling B5. The B6 also has a big aftermarket sceme so there are plenty of performance and styling mods out there for this platform.
