I think my absolute favourite would be the stock s4 grill, with the DIY black around it. MMMM. If one of us DIY'ers bought an S4 grill, I bet we could just transfer the black outer part over to the S4 grill, and be done. It'd look a bit cleaner, as the s4's fins are nicer.

Bentframe -
In terms of matching the lower grill...I like the S4 because even though we're throwing the vertical bars into the mix, it's still bars rather than mesh. Those will still sorta match, wheras the mesh wouldn't match at all. Also, I want to keep the rings and the quattro badges...I haven't seen many pictures of RS4 grills with rings mounted, but I don't remember being wild about how it looked.

Also, I'm not sure I would want blacked-out rings...I like the silver rings against my silver car (although blacked-out looks HOT on black cars). Would the rings in the grill I'd be bidding on look different than my current stock rings?

Audiboy...
for your DIY grill...is that just a stock A4 grill with the outer chrome trim painted black? I would *consider* blacking that part out on the grill...but I want to search for some pics of it on a silver car before I do.

Thanks guys, really appreciate the input.

Hrrrmm....some good points. I might just black out the chrome on my stock grill for starters, and see if that gives me what I'm looking for. Gonna look hot with some clear corners.

Meditate on this...I will

Yeah that was me. I hate the chrome around the grill, and I think it looks a lot better painted black. I actually painted the whole grille black and clear coted it cuz it was gettin kinda of a dull faded black look. Here's the best pic I have:

well now...I think we may have a winner. That definitely looks dope, and won't cost me much. I think I'll add that to my my growing to-do list....which includes...

-clear corners
-lip spoiler
-17' S4 wheels??
-cone filter/induction ram
-chrome gauge rings
-claybar exterior/full interior detail

And if I ever get the ***** to do it, the painted lowers look siiiick on our silver cars..

Not enough hours in the day !
