#1 thats not high miles, well I guess it is but your audi has a lot more life left in her.
#2 you can send in your onld K03 to G-pop and have them rebuild it or have them rebuild it into a k04 for about $450(you would need to upgrade your ECU software through GIAC another $600)

Timeing belt - since your at 112k I would hope that it has already been done. If for some odd reason it has never been changed or you have no proof it has been done I would suggest getting it done ASAP. But thats a spendy job so I'm guessing you wouldn't want to do that right now - but no you do not need your timing belt when you get a K04

 

I have my new K04 turbo sitting here. Friday I am dropping my car off to have it installed. After that I have a used K03 that is 100% fine. nothing wrong, I'm simply upgrading....

 

Looks like a match made in heaven to me!
