I was driving last night when the low pressure oil lamp came on....I stopped and checked theoildip stick and added some oil. The light went offbut this morning on my way to work it came back on and after a few minutes the car started to make some weird grinding noises....I know I am not dry on oil cos the dipstick shows oil. Has anyone experienced this before ? what may possibly be wrong with my car and how do I fix it before going to the stealership? The CEL isn't on yet so I don't have codes.

 

im no mechanic, but grinding noises are bad!

if it sounds like a dentist's drill, probably turbo is toast

 

maybe try running the codes?

 

You shouldn't be driving this car. Sludge may be blocking oil passages.
