Default Lowering Question

Do we need caster/camber plates on our cars when we drop it 2" or so? I always heard about that stuff in the mustang world but never here. Are alignment shops able to get the wheels perfectly aligned?

if u lower it ( i used a coilover kit) you will have negative camber issues... because ours isnt adjustable... just rotate tires freqently and buy some designed for lowered cars but u will use em up quick!

kmac camber plates do note fit the b6 platform
CPP and STaSIS stopped making adjustable control arms for our cars
kmac camber bushing are the only option, some like em some hate em.. i just cant find a good shop to install them! so i just buy lots of tires

hmm...how much quicker do you run through tires?...im a poor college student so i cant really afford to buy tires all the time...and im debating wether to get just the springs or go for the Tein coilovers...(Tein is the only company i could find that makes coilovers for the b6 frontrac)

i would spend the extra $ and get the teins... i was going to get them but i got in on a group buy for the stasis streetsports for the same price as teins...

the coilover can be set to factory height or close to it... you could drop it down just an inch then u wouldnt wear through tires nearly as fast....

im guessing mine will last 10k maybe 15k at most... i had BF goodrich gforce sports and they were great for handling but didnt like the negative camber at all... chewed them up in 10k

i just got some nitto neogen's which are supposedly designed for lowered cars with negative camber... however the handling is terrible compared to the bf goodrich! my car felt like caddy for the 1000 miles but thye have broken in since then and ride great now... still a notch below the bfgoodrich in handling...

i really think they are wearing a lot betterbut only time will tell... my car is tucking all four though at 24.25 fender height all the way around.... u can go for about 25.5" and it would look a lot better and not wear tires nearly as bad....... to be honest, mine is too low for daily driving but i like the way it looks, i actually think it would handle better if i raised it up .5"

camber isn't adjustable, camber and alignment are two different things.
