most reliable / practical / affordable way of lowering my car....

My friend mentioned I could probably get some coils on ebay, but also suggested I might need something else if my wheels end up tilting inward... Regardless I'll go for an alignment afterwards anyways

If anyone has a tutorial, or link to some springs I could purchase... that'd be great (preferbaly red )

p.s. I assume this is something I could probably figure out in my driveway ?
