Had some time today to go looking for a place to paint my lowers. I only went
to 2 places, both said, "we cant touch that because the bottom is textured, and
the paint wont stick." Umm what did i do wrong?

 

nothing but you didn't search. there is a lot of write-ups for this. get some plastic adhesion promotor, DIY, and don't go back to those shops

 

Just did mine, exactly that way. $45.00 total from Autozone...if you don't mind spending a day to get it done right. I'd rather DIY then spend $400.00.

Filler Primer is a good solution to the textured front and rear valences, just use light coats and sand in between.

 

I have yet to do this mod myself, but I am sure JP A4 and I will do it at the same time, cuz I'll probably be using his garage. It may be a while before I do, because I want it nice and warm outside to promote curing.
