m3 style spoiler lip
There are two styles and two aftermarket types of materials.
One style is made for the M5; it is a tad longer than the M3 lip.
The materials are two types of plastic; one is sturdier and "holds" the paint better. In this case, you get what you pay for.
Of course there is always the OE part that can be purchased directly from BMW. Last year I found a New York dealer who was selling the spoiler for under $80 (unpainted).
There are many guys who have installed these spoilers (all three types) without problems. They are installed with a very strong adhesive backed 3m tape. The only problem arises in alignment. You have to be very careful and measure three times to make sure it will go exactly where you want it to stick. They usually need a little bit of bending/fitting to match the curve of the Audi deck lid, but it is minimal. Once you stick it, it's on for good! The best installs were done with two people.
