Old *** key. It's in terrible shape; and the battery is dead.



I have no idea why there was tape.



Buttons are mashed in pretty hardcore too.



OH OH WHAT'S THIS? APR STAGE 3+ KEY? Word on the street is that it adds 26 horsepower.



Yeah I bite my fingernails.



They don't even put it together for you out of the dealership.

nice...does the trunk button do anything?

 

I'm not sure. They sent me that key, but it wasn't even configured to my A4, so none of the buttons work haha.

I think I'm going to have fun with that, though-- ie press it when I'm going 100mph and need an airbrake fast, that way the trunk will flip up and I'll stop in no time. Good idea?

No kidding man, it's a Stage 3+, so be prepared to drop Franklin's on it. (Sorry those of you who don't live in America, you won't get it)

interesting...I just bought a spare fob w an uncut key on ebay for $30, then I took it to a local locksmith and he cut it for 60$ and $90 later I have a second working key fob...

but depending on who you are, I guess the 60$ extra dollars is worth a brand new one...

congrats anyways, keep us updated on wether your trunk popper works!...

 

146 doesnt add in the cost of programming the fob to your car??!!?

 

They better ******* do it for free. Otherwise they can take the key and shove it up their asses; the entire point of me ordering a new key was for the fob to work with it. That thought never occured to me... I'm going to call them right now and see if the programming will be free.

 

I was transferred a total of four times, before I found out it'll be $50 to program the key.
