These are the mirror housings goingfast is selling on ebay. They are painted oem, so the fit is excellent. It was a little tricky getting the first one off, but the second was a breeze.

 

How long did it take to do? I was thinking about getting some from that guy.

 

The first one took abou 45 minutes...most of it scratching my head. The instructions online for the B5's don't apply to the B6. After removing the two bottom screws and popping out the black plastic piece on the bottom, I struggled to get the original cover off. I ended up snapping one of the little plastic tabs on the back, so I was really concerned about it happening to the new ones. I spent about 20 minutes trying to get the first one to fit. The trick is getting the tab closest to the body in place, then rotating the thing counter-clockwise with a lot of pressure to snap on. Once I got the first one on, the second one was done in less than 10 minutes.
