All those 12v hardcore modders are friggin nuts. Total nutjobs. Stubborn, obtuse, OCD whackos.
I respect that, though. Work with what you've got.

My intake sucks. It's like a foot long and sits like 6-8" away from pass. side exhuast mani. I jammed the AIT in the little duct.

As for the 12V ram air, he should have made it look a little better and made a fiberglass surrounding that fits in the fog hole.

Hey Jest, any idea how you would filter the air coming in through that ram intake? The inlet into the air box is below the filter, would the air coming in still be filtered thus not allowing damage to the engine? I went and looked at the engine bay of my car today and I'm seriously thinking about giving it a shot, looks like it might actually work.

Ive got a 97 2.8, so im tryin to work with that 12V. I used to have a 94 bmw 325 is that i kinda ghetto rigged the crap out of. as it turns out most of my stuff worked. one of my projects was a snorkel from that drivers side foglight opening. Im thinkin about doin the same to the 2.8. I did the airbox mod already so the panel filter is completely exposed. i also drilled a few holes in the wheel well to allow that air to flow in. Im thinking of havin my buddy fiberglass some sort of scoop for the foglight opening and then just piping the air up to that filter. might be a little easier than tryin to throw the whole fiter down there.
