I had an oil service at our Mercedes-Audi-BMW mechanic. When he was telling me that my car is fine he said "it's no Mercedes, but its a good little car." My dad has an 2001 Mercedes S-Class with around 60K. In the past few months, he's had a hell of a lot more trouble than my car which is a 96 2.8Q with 120K. I used to be into Mercedes but it seems like Audi is Germany's current superior car builder.

As far as high end cars mercedes is on top. S 55, sl 55, sl 65, E 55, cl 55, cls 55. If you've ever driven any one of these cars, you'd know what I'm talking about. They are amazing! Although your gonna need over $100k to pick one up. As far as the models that compare to the A4 like the c 230, the A4 kills IMO.

I do drive my dad's S500 and it has very decent power and the navigation system is really helpful, overall an extremely luxurious car. But still, he paid some 50 grand for it used. How would a new A8 compare to it?

My mom has a 2004 s430 and has had severall Benzs prior. They are amazing cars but lately that have had serious reliabilitly problems. Here's my theory on all this and I think some of you will agree.

Mercedes is known for their luxury and comfort. They make excellent cars when they don't hold themselves back on price. When a luxury car company tries to make cheaper cars, such as a C class, they suck. Its the same as when a shitty car company tries to make a really "nice" car. If you want a great car that will run forever you buy a Honda, not a C class. If you want an awesome luxury cruiser you buy a S class, 7 series, or A8, not a 300C, see where I'm going with this? All and all you can't go wrong with a German car, but if Mercedes doesnt get some of it's bugs fixed soon its going to be abolished by Audi and BMW.


PS. I got a recall in the mail today for an ignition switch. Anyone else get anything like that recently?

 

OK i lovee the 97' sl600 they are soo ****** cool and they smoke audis sadly .

the amg class and up are the only type of benz id buy, if i was to buy a benz. the 600's, those are a different story...oh, and the new amg line, the 65s.....god damn, cl65 amg, is what, like v12-biturbo, pumpin out 604 hp.
