i just recently bought a 2002 a4 with 33k miles on it and everytime the car accelerates, there is ametalvibration soundwhich sounds like it is coming from the a/c vent on the left of the steering wheel...it goes away after a couple of seconds but it happens every time the car accelerates. i hoped it would go away but it hasn't in 3 weeks...has anyone heard of this before or does anyone have any advice?

thanks!

you could have a loose heat shield on a cat or something. I'm not familiar with what the B6's look like underneath, but you might want to have a look, see if anything's loose.

Don't you have warrany till 36,000 miles? It should be covered if you do.

I currently have a quiet yet noticeable light rattle in dash somewhere, but I only hear it at low rpms and high gear...like 25 in 4th...but the second my revs are up it immediately fades...if you can live with it, don't worry about it...does everything in your car still work?...+1 for cat or heat shield...

good luck!
