I used to be a loyal Honda/Acura man, but I think I might be scoring myself a phatty Audi A4...I just sold my 90 Accord the other day and me and my dad have been looking to get me a car, a newer one with lesser miles, preferably quattro and five speed...I was messing around on cars.com and I cam across this sweet baby.

It's a 2001 Audi A4 1.8t, blue...was wondering what the paint code is for on that one...unspecified miles, but I'm guessing that with a 2001 it shouldn't have more than 70-80k miles. Also it is 5 speed and quattro, which is basically my dream come true. I was either looking for a Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS or a Legacy Gt or something like that, but this is everything I could want. They're asking a lil under $11k, does that seem low for this? It's from a dealer so I don't expect its a lemon or have a salvage title or anything...but god I hope I get this car, it would be a pleasure to join you guys.

i dont really think it is a bad deal, make sure to get it checked out, maybe i little over prised but still reasonable, it is quatro which will add atleast 1k to the 8,900 u paid pointtee

 

also its hard to say if thats a good deal or not without knowing the miles on the car....

 

Either way your going to pay more than what you could get it for if you just did a little more research. Plus, these cars dont carry the reliability of a honda or toyota, dealerships know this, and therefore give as i said very limited if any warranty at all. The only practical advantage a used car dealership can provide is the peace of mind of a warranty! Most used car dealerships dont offer those. Occasionaly you will find one with a 90 day warranty. That extra $1k to $3k you will save can go towards mods etc. For the money that you are guarenteed to spend on it in the short future after you own an a4 it is worthwhile to pinch every penny you can with the initial investment. Cars are bad investments, they dont appreciate, why pay more that you have to?.. Even if its $1,000?

 

You guys think that's overpriced? I went to kbb.com and I entered in all that stuff and it it was like a little over 12k for private party.
