first off, there is a guy in town that has a jetta gli and went with an arp stage 3 turbo

he is thinking of getting rid of his factory turbo, does anyone know if it is a K04, how much should i give him?

and all i will need is the turbo and k04 files right?

 

What year is it... And Id be amazed if they have k04 turbs.

 

not a KO4 and it wont work.. you car is longitudinal his is transveral, the turbo housings are different it wont work..

 

ok, that answers that question, and his is an 05

so his turbo would work on a fwd car?

 

I dont think so, even the FWD a4 keep the same engine position, its the same turbo just different housings so nothing would match upthe intake side of the housing would be facing it not hitting the block so you couldnt bold it it. I wish i had a pic to show you, the Ko4-015 (for our cars) has a short intake housing the one for the jettas and golfs is long and shaped differently

 

His turbo wouldnt work on any Audi, FWD or quattro
