Default Miss Fire!

P0300 and P0302 are the codes. Random/Multiple missfire-- Cylinder 2 missfire!! Great! WHen I get on it more than half throtle I can feel it missfireing and the CEL flashes until i let off the throtle. I cleared the code and am going to swap cyl 2 coil pack with cyl 1 and see what happens. Im guessing its the coil pack. Sucks! A great time to have VAG CoM though!!!

yup... will post updates tomorrow... When I saw the flashing CEL i was like "****!!!! I better stop driving!!" then when i let off on the gas (on the highway) it went away... Its strange though that its only missfireing when i give it a lot of gas... It doesnt miss fire at 1/4-half throtle.. only a little more than half throtle....HMMM.

hyp, go to autozone, they can clear it or if you have your radio code, just unplug the negative terminal on your battery

Low rpm misfires generally point to spark plugs, high rpm misfires are usually from bad coils.

P0300 random misfire detected P0302 cylinder 2 is the problem ( random ) being the issue so check for arcing of the plug connector it could be arcing to the cylinder head and not easily seen due to deep socket type leads spray the plug connector with water resistant type stuff ( cant think of the name of it at the mo ) but im sure you know what I mean

Cant remember, does your year have an ICM?

Could be that, cylinder 2 is a common icm failure.

Here's the old test for it.
