Default to mod or not to mod...

ok, so i've had the itch lately to mod my 2.8 B5....i've been lookin around for suspension (springs, shocks, sways). I found some sways for a good price but im not sure if i wanna go through with it. Should i mod the suspension, short shifter, maybe chip....or should i keep saving for later on when i might get a new car (which would prob be an Audi...can't think of any other after having one) possibly a turboed engine where i can really mod. I just dont know. Im starting college soon and ill be working throughout so ill have money coming in steadily. I kno unltimately its my decision, but i would just like to hear some opinions.

u can get sum major power out of a 2.8.... how many miles.. if its low mileage.. i suggest keeping it and putting a PES supercharger in... tahts instant 250-260hp.... and on such a small car... pretty fun..... it doesnt have the same feel as turbo.. but the kick is hella fun.

otherwise.. if ur already getn a new car (or thinkn about it... dont mod... no point)... maybe do a few little things... lower it.. make it smoother of a ride i gues.

phroztbyt3, no offense bro, but how about u sit back for a while and learn more, cuz ive seen more then one thread where u have false info. This is not a flame at all, just some advice.

btw- the pes g2 s/c puts u at about 300hp with the lil bolt on to go along.

Making no inference to who you are, or what you know... I offer the same advice:

keep your 2.8, love your 2.8, take care of your 2.8... and all will be good for years to come. It will cost you very little in maintenance, and you have a car that rides smooth as silk.

Then, after a few years of hording your money... splurge. Maybe buy a used B7 with the 2.0T.

When you mod a car, you **** all that money away. It's gone. Nobody cares when you sell it... it often HINDERS the sale.

I say don't bother with modding and save up. The most you can get is looks, minus the S/C. And even if you got a real nice lookin' ride, something better be under the hood to back it up.
