Alright guys, I just raced my friends 2000 Mercedes C230 Kompressor today and he pretty much got me by about 3 lengths in the quarter today. I'm sick of this ****...lol, what's the best, cheapest way to make my car faster? I'm only 18 so I don't have much money lying around. Please help..

 

lol, battle of the slow cars......... there is nothing you can do but get a chip which will put you at about 210hp, just be happy you are 18 and have an early '05 B6.... and why are you guys racing two slooooow cars? just to show who's cooler?

 

Yea I figured someone would say that. I guess I'll break down and buy the chip. They're not terribly slow cars but relatively slow I reckon. We were just racing to race..it's fun, why not! ha..race while gas is still cheap man.

 

get a chip from GIAC, APR, or REVO that might give you a little help but the biggest thing that he has on you is his car is lighter everyone needs more power. or if you really want to turn the tables save your money and get a APR stage 3 turbo kit about 5k.

 

Chip? Suggestion? APR Stage 1+ or REVO? APR requires new injectors...more $

 

Gas is cheap? i pay 3.15 a gallon (i know some pay more then me ) i race very sparingly since it suck down the fuel and i could think of alot of other things i would like to spend 50 dollars on every 2 weeks

 

I was thinking about REVO chip and then just get a K04, how much would that help me, I've ordered carbon fiber intake and 3" downpipe, they're on their way. Will she be pretty quick if I do those two mods plus what I'm about to do?

 

B5 1.8, B6 1.8's are very very slow stock. Turn on your a/c and you will love it even more just chip it with a new dv, and you will be pleased.

 

Yea, the gas comment was sarcasm..ha, their is always room 4 it

 

and BTW, where in the hell is gas cheap? I live in a Chicago suburb, and gas is at least 3.41 a gallon last i checked for regular
