More BS from my car
Ok so i took my car out tonight to go shopping for a bit before the stores close. As usual the car was just fine till it got to operating temperature. Then it started misfiring as always. Everytime, 20-25 psi it misfires like a machine gun. Most of the time this happens, sometimes it runs perfectly. But tonight it misfired like hell then the car **** a brick. I came to the next light, and the car wouldnt idle properly. The rpms jumped up and down, not much, but it was noticeable, since the engine shakes a bit. I tried taking off from the light, and the car seemed to be misfiring on a cylinder, generally choking up makit it really tough to get going. So i pulled into a parking lot and shut it down, started it up, and did it again, then tried the 60 sec turn key to realign tb, see if that would do anything (which it has somewhat in the future) nothing, i have a engine light up on the dash, and i just started driving the car, not so much of a constant problem with the accelerating anymore, just about everyother stoplight. Its just not the same, now, it sucked before but ive never had this problem. The exhaust is also a bit more raspy, you can tell when its not firing right when im at the light. At idle the car will drop rpm now from just above 800 to right under the 800 mark, its not much but you can tell by the motor shaking. On the boost gauge its about 19hg to 17hg which isnt much. Sounds like the car is sqealing a bit, like a loose belt maybe, but its not noticeable when i give it a few rpms. That i also havent heard before.
Ive been trying to track down the problem of the misfires. Bad coilpacks? but wouldnt it misfire all the time?
Im at 118k and needing to do the timing belt and temp sensor, since it takes forever for the car to heat up, could this be a cause of the misfires?
Any help would be appreciated, im at college and have limited means to fixing things now, i will be doing the timing belt soon, but i wont do coilpacks if they arent the problem, i dont have money to just throw at the problem like i did when i had a job.

Since you say its backfiring, it sounds like the car is running rich....
I believe the temp sensor failing can cause this, improper readings from the maf, and air leak, a misfire, among other things.
just giving you some ideas of what to look at.

Ok i was suggested that, as you can see ive pretty much narrowed it down to that temp sensor and the coilpacks. But my question is this, the temp sensor reads where it should be( granted it takes a good couple of minutes to get there) but that can still be sending wrong info to the ecu?? Causing me to run rich etc.
