Try changin your fluid to a full synthetic that is the same weight/properties as OEM. Ive done that in previous manual cars and had luck with shifting in cold weather.

Hey onepoint8tee, I was searching and came across this thread of yours and a bunch of others.

https://www.audiforums.com/m_207285/tm.htm

Did you replace your filter then? I saw that you were asking about it. I also notcied some people saying that they paid like 117 bucks to get it done. From what you told me to get from purems.com the materials alone would be close to 150 bucks including shipping(8 quarts and the filter). How can that be? And some other people were saying that they only put in 5 quarts or something. I guess I am a litle confused.

The coolant temp sensor doesn't differentiate what rpm you are at so I would believe it is just because of the cold unless there is something built into the tune to compensate for the rpm's. I have a manual but when the car is cold I am at a higher rpm at highway speeds also.

There is a big difference in cost between dropping the pan, replacing the fluid and the 8 qts that comes out.
People who paid less probably just had a drain and fill where the pan is not dropped and the filter is not replaced and only 4 or so qts come out. In your case, I would definately have the pan dropped and do the filter and fluid.

You still have tranny fluid that isn't drained when you drop the pan also, the touqe converter still holds 3 or 4 quarts but dropping the pan is much better than a drain and fill.

Right i noted that in the link.. Unfortunately there is no drain plug on the tq. converter.
