I'm planinng on installing a K04 with a high flow manifold,high flow cat,injectors and GIAC chip what HP and torque would you predict from this setup? What is the most awd power anybody has made with the K04?

 

Its basically just going to be a small gain in both hp and tq. All your going to get is a slightly higher spike (due to insane psi levels) and due to that, the appearce of it holding boost longer because it takes a few more rpms to fall the extra 4-8psi out of its effience range. There was some BS'er on Vortex claiming his 1.8t made 300fwhp which cant reallyhappen w/o n2o which he doesnt run.

 

I was also thinking of the GTRS eliminator turbo with the same setup but a unitronics chip, but not sure? I don't have a lot of options due to my transmission and the gtrs kit is alot of money for what they give you.

 

Someone on audizine with a b6 achieved 275hp with a k04, I think his name was durfA4?! Also, I've seen a dyno for a dahlback k04 also at 270hp or 275hp.. that I can't find anywhere now for some reason. From months of searching (I'm deciding between going k04 and gtrs).. most people seem to be getting around 250-260hp with supporting mods.

 

i still dont know why people want k04's. its so much money for such little gains. i just hope they still do when it comes time to sell mine

 

the tq from a gtrs is probably going to be around what your going to make with the ko4, but further out in the rpms. The tip should be able to handle that.

I still wouldnt buy 270bhp from a ko4. Not going to happen without n2o or w/m with a incredable tune.

How much more Hp does the GTRS kit give you over the K04 and is the GTRS kit dependable to drive everyday?

 

k04 = 220 hp
gtrs = 350 hp

 

Just to spite cincy, you should say that k04 = 275hp and gtrs = 350hp

But yeah, if you're going to go with a gtrs make sure you upgrade your tranny.
