motor oil

I just got a apr chip and im lookin for a little bit more high performance oil, should i go synthenic?

Yes, I think so. I would say either Royal Purple or Mobil 1 are excellent synthetic oils. Purple is a bit more expensive and depending on where you are it might be hard to find.

5W 30 is what I use. 10W 30 won't hurt anything if you live down south or just run it in the summer.

Right on, I grew up in Jenkintown, about 20 minutes from DT Philly. Lived there till 76. Where are you?

Definately go synthetic. They are all good, I like amsoil 0-30W.

I previously had a tsi, about 5-6 yrs ago. I switched to synthetic (amsoil). The boost gauge didnt sit so far in the negative side anymore while idling. Spool up seemed better, the whole engine felt smoother.

Castrol syntec 5W-35 custom weight oil or royal purple 5W-30 (highly recommended) i use the castrol custom weight. e-mail me if you want to know how to get ahold of that oil although it is quite expensive.
